Wie viele Geburtstagsgeschenke zu Obamas 60. Geburtstag am 4.8.?

I’m asking you, friend, to help us celebrate Barack’s 60th birthday by chipping in $6 or $60 to help bring the Obama Presidential Center to life and support the young leaders it will empower.

Or you can simply tell us how you’ve spent 60 minutes—maybe even just 60 seconds—giving back to your community over the last year and a half.

Maybe you lent a hand to a neighbor in need. Maybe you helped your favorite local business stay open through pandemic closures. Maybe you took action to keep your communities safe and healthy. Big or small, I know Barack would love to hear from you.

So I hope you’ll help make his 60th birthday one he’ll never forget.

For as long as I’ve known him, Barack has always loved hearing about the good work folks are doing to make a positive impact—and, some things never change. In this case, that’s a very good thing."

Mail an Obama mit der Aufforderung, Edward Snowden zu begnadigen

Dear President Obama,

I urge you to grant a presidential pardon to Edward Snowden as a whistle-blower who spoke out to defend our human rights.

When he shared US intelligence documents with journalists, Edward revealed how governments were scooping up our personal data, including phone calls, emails and much more. His actions sparked a global debate and movement to protect our privacy online. Yet he’s forced to live in exile and faces decades in prison.

President Obama, you yourself have said that the debate he triggered on surveillance “will make us stronger.” Edward Snowden is a human rights hero. Please treat him like one.

Sincerely,

Walter Böhme
